Group Exercise Staff / Personal Training Staff

Club Manager: Matt Crowley, CPT/AFPA
Matt graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Health Education and a minor in Physical Education. He is a certified personal trainer through AFPA (American Fitness Professionals and Associates). He was a Division I athlete (centerfield) in baseball, and currently works as the Club Manager and Wellness Director in addition to doing personal training. Program Director: Josh Scott, CPT/ACE
Josh received degrees in physical education and biology from Western Michigan University in April 2007. While at WMU, Josh played division I soccer for the Broncos. He is a certified personal trainer through ACE (American Council on Exercise). As the Kalamazoo Athletic Club Program Director, Josh is also certified as an instructor for Group Cycling, Pilates, Yoga, and Aerobic Kickboxing. Josh is also a graduate assistant at WMU working on a masters of Exercise Science with an emphasis in Holistic Health. Membership Director: Theresa Charlton CPT/ACE
Theresa joined us in July of 2007 and immediately made an impact on the K.A.C. team. She wears many hats around the Athletic Club including, membership director, personal trainer, front desk, and up and coming group exercise instructor. Theresa attended the Blue Heron Academy where she received her A.C.E certification. Upon graduating high school Theresa began attending Western Michigan University, and participated in the Club Crew Team. Group Exercise Instructor / Front Desk: Brad Jones
Originally from Alaska, the cold state near Canada, Brad began working at Radisson nearly 3 years ago and transferred to the athletic club in March of 2007. He is a Public Relations major and Electronic Business Design minor at Western Michigan University. Brad is an active member is the Sigma Pi International Fraternity as well as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda Fraternity. At the Athletic Club, Brad has really made an impact teaching a variety of group exercise classes, including The Power Hour and Spinning.
Group Exercise Instructor: Julie
Julie has worked in Downtown Kalamazoo for the past 19 years. The last 13 of those years, she had taught a variety of group exercise classes on her lunch breaks. Julie has taught general aerobics, step aerobics, toning, spin, and boot camp and is our most veteran teacher. Fitness has always been a passion for Julie, as is shown through the 3 marathons she has completed.

Front Desk Staff

Front Desk: Sue Richardson
Sue began her service industry career at the Gilmore Downtown with 35 years in customer service. When the Gilmore closed in 1999, Sue joined us at the K.A.C., formerly known as Fitness Works. Sue has been part of the Radisson team longer than any other K.A.C. employee. Outside of the Athletic Club Sue enjoys K-wings hockey, Kings baseball and Civic Theater productions. In addition to her sports and theater life, Sue also volunteers with several local charities, including Girls on the Run. Sue really enjoys the friendships and relationships she has built over the past 9 years here at the K.A.C., and looks forward to building more.
Front Desk: Stephanie Aldoph
Stephanie has worked at the Radisson for over 2 years now. She began her work in banquets but then joined us in January of 2008. She is a student at Kalamazoo Valley Community College working on her Nursing degree. Stephanie really enjoys going the extra mile to see the smile on the guests’ or members’ face.
Front Desk: Jessica Woehrmyer
Jessica is originally from Three Rivers Michigan, just outside of Kalamazoo. She is currently attending Kalamazoo Valley Community College and plans to attend West Palm Beach University to major in Athletic Training when done at KVCC. She started at the Athletic Club in December of 2007. Jessica enjoys outside activities and all sports. She was incredibly disappointed when her Detroit Pistons were knocked out by the Celtics, but hopes they will win it next year.
