Facility Manager/Personal Trainer/Group Exercise Instructor

Matt oversees the day-to-day operations of the club, is a certified personal trainer (AFPA), and leads the wellness program for all Greenleaf properties. He graduated from Central Michigan University in 2003 with a degree in Health Education and a minor in Physical Education. While at CMU, he was also the starting center fielder on the Chippewas’ Division I baseball team. He can still hit the curveball (it’s softball now, but still). |

Bri recently graduated from Western Michigan University (Go Broncos!) with a degree in Exercise Science & Holistic Health. She is a certified YogaFit Instructor, personal trainer, and teaches many of the KAC's group exercise classes. Bri also helps manage the Greenleaf Wellness Program. She loves playing sports and currently looks forward to Friday night soccer games. |

Courtney loves being available to answer any questions people may have for her. She looks forward to helping people and giving tips on working out. She is a criminal justice and sociology major at Western Michigan University, where she also cheers on the WMU Cheer Team. Courtney loves working out and being active. She currently is preparing for a fitness/figure show and trains at the KAC for it! |

SHERYLE SAGE

Sheryle recently joined the KAC fitness staff as a group exercise
instructor. She has been involved in the fitness industry for 15 years
as a Certified Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Coach (ACE). A lifelong
native of Kalamazoo, Sheryle's hobbies include outdoor activities,
modifying comfort food recipes into healthful versions, and spending
time with her friends and family. |

Sue is the longest-serving employee at the club. She has maintained her front desk position since August 2000, when she joined Fitness Works (which later became Kalamazoo Athletic Club). She volunteers with several local charities, including Girls on the Run and Quota Club. She is also a diehard fan of Kalamazoo Wings hockey and Kalamazoo Kings baseball – so if you want to get into a debate, you’d better know your stuff. |

Ashley is the reason our club sparkles every day. Her strong attention to detail and solid work ethic make her a perfect fit as our night cleaner. She’s outgoing, too, so she helps out at the front desk when we need her. Ashley is an aviation administration major at Western Michigan University and enjoys being active, especially outdoors. |

Cassie loves to help people and it’s why she’s a great fit at our front desk. She also loves to learn: she earned an associates degree in graphic communication in 2004 and is currently enrolled in the business management program at Western Michigan University, where she also takes classes in occupational therapy, health and human services. And she’s active! Camping, kayaking, canoeing, parasailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, tubing – if it involves water, it likely involves her. |

JOHN PETERS

John helps manage our front desk and does so with effervescence and dedication. The senior exercise science major (business minor) at Western Michigan University hopes to one day have a career that merges fitness with substance abuse rehabilitation. In addition to his role at KAC, John is a supervisor at Webster’s Prime, the Radisson’s four-diamond second-floor restaurant. He is a music enthusiast who has played the guitar for 10 years, so don’t be surprised if we let him provide live music during one of our group exercise classes. |
